"Parisian Downpour"

The Story Behind The Photo
Many years ago my husband and I had rented an apartment for a week on a small street in the Latin Quarter of Paris not far from Boulevard St. Michel and the Luxembourg Garden, one of our favorite places to wander and relax in. One afternoon, as we were walking in that direction, the skies clouded over and the heavens began to pour down a deluge! Taking shelter under the awning of a sidewalk cafe, I took photos and videos of people running past who didn't have the luxury of waiting out the downpour under cover. While the videos were interesting, it was the camera's slow shutter that by blurring the images of the passers-by really captured the intensity and experience of that downpour. Here is one of my favorites from that day. I hope you enjoy it too! ~ Marjorie "
